What it does

• Requires the legislature to hold its annual regular session in the Municipality of Anchorage starting on the third Tuesday in January at 1:00 p.m.
• Allows special legislative sessions to be held anywhere in the state if designated by the governor or agreed upon by presiding officers.
• Prohibits legislators and employees from soliciting or accepting campaign contributions while a session is active, unless it is for their own election within 90 days of that election and occurs outside Anchorage during regular sessions.
• Bans candidates for governor or lieutenant governor from soliciting or accepting money in the Municipality of Anchorage while the legislature is convened in any session.
• Updates lobbying registration forms to require addresses at the location of the current legislative session and a sworn statement that training was completed within the last 12 months.
• Changes travel reimbursement rules so legislators can be paid for moving between their home and the Municipality of Anchorage instead of Juneau.
