What it does

• Sets an annual permit fee of $10,000 to conduct gaming activities on Alaska Marine Highway System vessels.
• Removes the requirement for applicants to notify local governments when filing a new permit application; instead, local governments may protest permits by resolution based only on lack of qualifications.
• Changes the rule so that if a permitted activity moves locations, the operator must notify only the state department within 10 days, removing the previous requirement to also notify the local government.
• Updates regulations to include standards for online ticket sales, specifically requiring age and location verification.
• Removes requirements for operators to submit federal tax forms (Form 941) or employer wage reports with their quarterly gaming reports.
• Removes requirements for operators to submit Form W-2s with their annual gaming reports.
• Limits bingo permits to no more than 14 sessions per month and 35 games per session, unless a multiple-beneficiary permit is held.
