FEES Present law requires the state fire marshal to charge specific fe es for each classification of permit , such as $1,000 for a retailer and $100 for a seasonal retailer. Other permit classifications are manufacturer, distributor, wholesaler, and exhibitor. A person engaged in more than 1 classification must only pay one fee based upon the classification requiring the higher fee. Until February 1, 2027, this bill raises the fee amount for a seasonal retailer from $100 to $150. RULEMAKING This bill authorizes the state fire marshal to promulgate rules to effectuate this bill.
