Why lawmakers voted

Last checked Aug 7, 5:41 PM

Voted Yes

Why they voted this way

The lawmaker argues that select committees often struggle to find a standing committee willing to accept their proposed legislation, causing delays and inefficiency. He proposes an amendment to ensure the work of the select committee can move directly to the floor without needing another committee's approval.

Voted Yes

Why they voted this way

The lawmaker opposes the amendment because he believes it is better for the entire standing committee to hear from and question the select committee before a bill is introduced, rather than having only a few members understand the details.
