Subject: School Finance - Modification of local resource calculation Summary/Major Elements: Addresses the situation where a student is placed in a juvenile detention facility outside of the district in which they are enrolled; where the school district in which the juvenile facility is located accepts responsibility for the educational service for the child, but does not enroll that child; and where the non-resident district and the resident district enter into an agreement to provide for the educational services of the child while placed in the facility. Revises the annual computation of district revenues for calculation of foundation payments to Wyoming school districts. Allows non-resident school districts to reduce local resources by tuition payments made to the non-resident district for the provision of educational services for students placed in juvenile detention facilities located in their district. Applies to non-resident school districts that enter into an agreement with the student's resident school district for educational services.
