Summary/Major Elements: Modifies computation of ADM for purposes of determining charter school entitlements to school foundation program funding; Modification to ADM computations allows charter schools expanding enrollment by including grades above existing configuration levels, to adjust ADM counts by the October 1 student enrollment count taken on the first year of operation under the expanded grade configuration levels; The effect is to allow adjustment to current enrollment levels for purposes of foundation fund entitlements, as opposed to experiencing a one-year lag in funding under existing computations; The adjustment applies only to charter schools in their fourth or subsequent year of operation. (Note, existing law allows charter schools to adjust to current enrollment levels in first three years of operation.)
