Official summary
HB0113 Bill No.: HB0113 Drafter: LGC LSO No.: 12LSO-0299 Effective Date: March 15, 2012 Enrolled Act No.: HEA0039 Chapter No.: CH0087 Prime Sponsor: Representative Bonner Catch Title: Critical access endowment challenge program. Subject: Extending critical access/rural hospital endowment challenge program. Summary/Major Elements: In 2007, the legislature created a critical access/rural hospital endowment challenge program providing matching grants to critical access and rural hospitals and appropriated $4,000,000 to the program. The program was set to sunset June 30, 2012, and the unobligated funds in the matching account were set to revert at that time. This act extends the program until June 30, 2014, and modifies the program by allowing critical access or rural hospitals which have not yet received $250,000 from the matching program to qualify for matching funds up to that amount (to the extent funds remain in the matching account). This act allows all but $1,500,000 of the originally appropriated funds for the program to revert on June 30, 2012, as originally provided. Comments: Contains delayed effective/repeal date: Program repealed June 30, 2014.
