SF0005 Bill No.: SF0005 Drafter: LGC LSO No.: 12LSO-0093 Effective Date: March 21, 2012 Enrolled Act No.: SEA0060 Chapter No.: CH0104 Prime Sponsor: Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee Catch Title: County commissioners-removal of appointed board members. Subject: Providing for removal of appointed board members. Summary/Major Elements: Current law is silent on removal of board members from predator management boards, planning commissions, airport boards, fair boards, public recreation boards, museum boards, solid waste disposal district boards and county health boards. This act provides that for those board members appointed by a board of county commissioners, the county commissioners may remove the member for cause without a public hearing, unless the director requests the action be taken during a public hearing.
