Subject: Expansion of the public finance website to include complaints regarding government competing against the private sector. Summary/Major Elements: Previous legislation established a public finance website administered by the department of administration and information to track expenditure of public funds. This act expands that website to provide a process for lodging concerns regarding competition by state and local government entities with the private sector. The act specifies requirements for the website and adds to an existing annual report requirement from the department of information concerning the number of complaints lodged, the entities against whom complaints were lodged, and for state entities any action taken in response to the complaints lodged. Comments: Report Required department of administration and information to include in its annual report to the joint appropriations committee information concerning complaints regarding government competition.
