FOR AN ACT ENTITLED

"An Act relating to the summer electronic benefits transfer program for children." 1
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 2
* Section 1. AS 47.06 is amended by adding a new section to read: 3
Sec. 47.06.035. Summer electronic benefits transfer program for children. 4
(a) The department shall do all things necessary to qualify for federal funds that are 5
a v a i l a b l e t o t h e s t a t e f o r t h e summer electronic benefits trans fer program and 6
administer the summer electronic benefits transfer program. 7
(b) The department shall adopt regulations necessary to carry out the summer 8
electronic benefits transfer program. 9
(c) In this section, "summer el ectronic benefits transfer prog ram" means the 10
federal summer electronic benefits transfer program for childre n authorized by 42 11
U.S.C. 1762. 12
