FOR AN ACT ENTITLED

"An Act establishing the month of March as Women's History Month." 1
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 2
* Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read: 3
Sec. 44.12.088. Women's History Month. The month of March each year is 4
established as Women's History Month. Women's History Month may be observed by 5
schools, community groups, and other public and private agencie s and individuals 6
with appropriate activ ities to honor and recognize the contribu tions that women have 7
made in the history of the state and the United States. 8
