Purpose

Appropriates
$9,200,000 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2027 to the Arizona
Department of Transportation (ADOT) for costs associated with an additional
right turn lane at the intersection of State Route 87 and State Route 260.

ADOT is tasked with
providing an integrated balanced state transportation system and has exclusive
control and jurisdiction over all: 1) state highways; 2) state roads; 3) state-owned
airports; and 4) state-owned transportation systems or modes. ADOT is
responsible for the design and construction of transportation facilities in
accordance with a priority plan and to maintain and operate all state-owned

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.
Appropriation;
department of transportation; State Route 87 and State Route 260; additional
right turn lane

The sum of $9,200,000 is appropriated
from the state general fund in fiscal year 2026-2027 to the department of
transportation for costs associated with planning, designing, constructing and
the acquisition of right-of-way or easements for an additional right turn lane
at the intersection of State Route 87 and State Route 260.
