of supervision, rehabilitation, treatment and education of all committed youth

of Public Safety (DPS) is responsible for the enforcement of state criminal
laws and traffic regulations. DPS: 1) operates highway patrol; 2) operates and
maintains statewide communications systems, state crime laboratories and an

special investigations; and 4) is designated as the state's receipt of federal
Victims of Crime Act grants (
