WHEREAS, Bishop Kenneth Lydell Robinson Sr. passed away on Sunday, 22
April 12, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of sixty-one (61); and 23
24
WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was a pastor, singer, musician, radio 25
personality, and businessman active in Central Arkansas throughout his life; 26
and 27

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the son of Ulysses Robinson Jr. and Lee 29
Ella Robinson, and Bishop Robinson grew up in the McAlmont community of North 30
Little Rock; and 31

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson's father, Ulysses Robinson Jr., was a pastor, 33
radio announcer, and gospel music performer, and Bishop Robinson's parents 34
raised him in church, which would have a large impact on the course of Bishop 35
Robinson's life; and 36

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson grew up surrounded by gospel music and 2
developed a great love and expertise in that music, was a highly talented 3
vocalist and instrumentalist, and could play organ, piano, and numerous other 4
musical instruments; and 5

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson preached his first sermon when he was eleven 7
(11) years old and first became a pastor at the age of eighteen (18) when he 8
led St. Stephens Baptist Church in Scott; and 9

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was referred to by Paul S. Morton, founder of 11
the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International movement, as one (1) 12
of the twelve (12) founding fathers of the movement; and 13
14
WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the senior pastor of Antioch Full Gospel 15
Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was a member of the Full Gospel 16
Baptist Church Fellowship International Council of Bishops, on which he 17
served as the Northeast Central Regional Bishop, tending to parts of New 18
York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Arkansas; and 19

WHEREAS, in February of 2026, Bishop Robinson celebrated fifty (50) 21
years of ministry; and 22

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the longtime host of Power Praise Gospel 24
on KIPR 92.3 FM, the leader of the musical group "Bishop Kenneth Robinson & 25
Chosen", and the founder and president of Robinson Mortuary; and 26

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the visionary behind the Bishop Kenneth L. 28
Robinson Music Convention, a board member of the Gospel Music Workshop of 29
America, and Chairman of the Gospel Music Workshop of America Quartet 30
Division; and 31

WHEREAS, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said of Bishop Robinson's 33
passing that, "...[Bishop Robinson was] a visionary pastor, adept 34
entrepreneur, gifted musician, and one of the founding fathers of the Full 35
Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International. His leadership, creativity, 36

and unwavering faith touched countless lives and strengthened the body of 1
Christ."; and 2

WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson is survived by his wife of thirty-eight (38) 4
years, Dr. Brenda Robinson, his children, Roderick, Kenbria, and Kenneth Jr., 5
and his grandchildren, MaKensley, Karis, Kendall Jr., Morrison, Kenneth III, 6
and Carter, 7

NOW THEREFORE, 9
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 10
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN: 11

THAT the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring therein, 13
remember Bishop Kenneth L. Robinson Sr. and recognize his many contributions 14
to the State of Arkansas and his local community. 15
16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, an appropriate 17
copy be provided to Dr. Brenda Robinson and family by the Chief Clerk of the 18
House of Representatives. 19
