WHEREAS, Mr. Frederick Henry Middleton was born in Arkadelphia, 20
Arkansas, graduated from Arkadelphia High School, and resides in Arkadelphia, 21
Arkansas; and 22

WHEREAS, Mr. Middleton began his career at the Street Department of the 24
City of Arkadelphia in January, 1975; and 25

WHEREAS, Mr. Middleton held the position of Assistant Superintendent of 27
the Street Department, until his retirement from the City of Arkadelphia on 28
December 31, 2025; and 29

WHEREAS, Mr. Middleton served the citizens of Arkadelphia for fifty 31
(50) years, and was honored by the City of Arkadelphia for this achievement; 32
and 33

WHEREAS, Mr. Middleton has been married to his wife, Angela Middleton, 35
for forty-eight (48) years, and has three (3) adult children, Robert, 36

Brandon, and Ashton, and four (4) grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Joydan, and 1

WHEREAS, Mr. Middleton is a fisherman, an avid ham radio operator, and 4
a member of Excelsior Universal Lodge No. 13 with over thirty (30) years of 5
service; and 6

WHEREAS, Mr. Middleton is a lifelong member of St. Paul African 8
Methodist Episcopal Church in Arkadelphia, where he has exemplified service, 9
leadership, and dedication; and 10

WHEREAS, Mrs. Angela Middleton stated that "[Mr. Middleton] would go 12
over and above to help people. He loved his job. He loved helping people, 13
and he loved what he did. It was his ministry.", 14

NOW THEREFORE, 16
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 17
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 18

THAT the House of Representatives: 20
(1) Commend Frederick Henry Middleton on his fifty (50) years of 21
service to the City of Arkadelphia; 22
(2) Thank him for his contributions to his community; and 23
(3) Wish him all the best in his retirement. 24

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 26
presented to Frederick Henry Middleton by the Chief Clerk of the House of 27
