WHEREAS, the Mansfield High School Tigers won the 2025 Class 3A state 18
championship held on December 13, 2025, at War Memorial Stadium in Little 19
Rock, Arkansas; and 20

WHEREAS, the Tigers won the championship game during their first-ever 22
state championship appearance by besting the Fordyce High School Redbugs with 23
a final score of forty (40) points to thirty (30) points (40-30); and 24

WHEREAS, with their championship victory, the Tigers won their first 26
state championship in program history and set a record for the most rushing 27
yards in a state championship game, with four hundred eighty-nine (489) 28
rushing yards; and 29

WHEREAS, the Tigers completed the season with a perfect season record 31
of fourteen wins and zero losses (14-0), and were the first team in program 32
history to do so; and 33

WHEREAS, the Tigers were back-to-back conference champions for the 35
first time in program history; and 36

WHEREAS, the Tigers scored the most points of any football program in 2
Arkansas, across all classifications, with six hundred fifty-nine (659) 3
points, set the state record for the most two-point conversions, with 4
seventy-six (76) two-point conversions, and scored the tenth most rushing 5
yards in a season, with five thousand one hundred thirty-five (5,135); and 6

WHEREAS, the Tigers offensive line was named the Arkansas Sports 8
Network Offensive Line of the Year; and 9

WHEREAS, the Tigers team members were Andrew Burton, Zander Walters, 11
Ethan Martin, Caiden Ore, Jubal Parks, Cooper Edwards, Matthew Burton, Silas 12
Burton, Michael Carter, Jeremiah Burton, Joe Carter, Logan Ore, James 13
Bausley, Chandler Whisman, Dalton Knowles, Colton Moore, Riley Hillard, 14
Vantha Uk, Treven Hattabaugh, Layton Pyles, Isaac Carson, Zach Miller, Alex 15
Hecox, Dieuphny Smithson, Easton Foley, Mason Bryant, Landen Bascue, Travis 16

WHEREAS, the Tigers trainers and managers were Daisy Nelson, Kaylee 20
Ward, Molley Estep, Drake Brunson, Remington Steele, and Lincoln Allison; and 21

WHEREAS, the Tigers were led by Head Coach Whit Overton, Defensive 23
Coordinator Layton Robinson, and Assistant Coaches Trevon Moore, Daniel 24
Martin, Keith Stovall, and Adam Bozant; and 25

WHEREAS, Tigers team member Andrew Burton is a two-time All-State 27
honoree, was named to the 2025 AAA All-Star Team and the Arkansas Democrat 28
Gazette Super Team, was named Hooten's Class 3A Offensive Player of the Year, 29
River Valley Democrat Gazette Offensive Player of the Year, and the 2025 30
Class 3A state championship game Most Valuable Player, and scored the second 31
most rushing yards in a state championship game, with three hundred twenty-32
one (321) rushing yards, had the eighth most rushing touchdowns in a season, 33
with forty (40) rushing touchdowns, and had the second most touch downs in a 34
playoff game, with six (6) touchdowns; and 35

WHEREAS, Tigers team member Zander Walters is a two-time All-State 1
honoree and was named to the 2025 AAA All-Star Team and the River Valley 2
Democrat Gazette All-Area Team; and 3

WHEREAS, Tigers team member Ethan Martin is a two-time All-State 5
honoree, was named to the River Valley Democrat Gazette All-Area Team, and 6
received the Burlsworth Award for Best Linesman in the state championship 7
game; and 8

WHEREAS, Tigers team member Caiden Ore was a 2025 All-State honoree and 10
was named to the River Valley Democrat Gazette All-Area Team; and 11

WHEREAS, Tigers team member Jubal Parks was a 2025 All-State honoree; 13
and 14

WHEREAS, Tigers team members Cooper Edwards, Matthew Burton, Silas 16
Burton, Michael Carter, Jeremiah Burton, Joe Carter, Logan Ore, and James 17
Bausley earned All-Conference honors; and 18

WHEREAS, Tigers Head Coach Whit Overton said of the team and the 20
victory, "When I came to Mansfield, everybody thought I was crazy leaving a 21
program like Booneville like I did. I just believed in myself, and I believe 22
in this community that I could come to a place like Mansfield and have that 23
similar success. When you have great kids that buy into it and that want to 24
work hard, and you know we don't have a lot on the team, but those kids are 25
dedicated completely to being a champion. And they proved it tonight, that 26
that's what it takes – hard work and effort.", 27

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 30
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 31

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Mansfield High School 33
Tigers football team as the 2025 Class 3A state champions. 34
