WHEREAS, the Rogers High School Mounties baseball team won the 2025 18
Class 6A state championship held on May 25, 2025, at Rogers Heritage High 19
School; and 20

WHEREAS, the Mounties won the championship game by besting the 22
Fayetteville High School Bulldogs by a score of seven points to six points 23
(7-6); and 24

WHEREAS, the Mounties finished the 2024-2025 season with an overall 26
record of twenty-seven wins and four losses (27-4); and 27

Blankenship, and Ty Burnham earned All-Conference Honors; and 2

WHEREAS, Mounties team members Zach Lawing, Joe Canzoneri, and Jake 4
Taylor earned All-State Honors; and 5

WHEREAS, Mounties team member Ty Burnham was named the 6A state 7
championship's Most Valuable Player; and 8

WHEREAS, the Mounties were led by Head Coach Matt Melson and assistant 10
coaches Darek Bunch, Mike Hummell, Joey Taylor, and William Pender; and 11

WHEREAS, Head Coach Brian Fowler said of the season and the win, "This 13
team was an absolute joy to coach. They finished the year winning 21 14
straight games and showed maturity and composure not often seen at their age. 15
This historic season and epic title game will be remembered for a long 16

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 20
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 21

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Rogers High School 23
Mountaineers baseball team as the 2025 Class 6A state champions. 24

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 26
presented to Head Coach Brian Fowler by the Chief Clerk of the House of 27
Representatives. 28
