MOUNTIES GIRLS' WRESTLING TEAM AS THE 16
2026 CLASS 6A STATE CHAMPIONS. 17

WHEREAS, the Rogers High School Lady Mounties girls' wrestling team won 19
the 2026 Class 6A state championship held on February 14, 2026, at the Jack 20
Stephens Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; and 21
22
WHEREAS, the Lady Mounties won the 2026 Class 6A state championship 23
with two hundred eighteen point five (218.5) points; and 24
25
WHEREAS, the Lady Mounties were the 2026 Dual State Champions, being 26
undefeated in conference duals, and were the 2026 6A West Conference 27
Champions; and 28

WHEREAS, the Lady Mounties team members are Ashley Thompson, Dalani 30
Hornbuckle, Anna Dux, Heidi Benefield, Rebecca Gonzalez, Arden Jellen, Heysel 31
Solis, Leslie Marquez, Shelsea Morales, Gracie Wood, Kyra Duncan, Analy 32
Quintero, Mckayla Carlisle, Addison Garrett, Briseis Ramirez, Mariah Myers, 33
and Maricarmen Garcia; and 34

WHEREAS, the Lady Mounties were led by Coach Willie Wright and 36

assistant coaches Jimi Hornbuckle and Alex Herrline; and 1

WHEREAS, Lady Mounties team members Ashley Thompson, Dalani Hornbuckle, 3
and Anna Dux were each three-time state champions, team member Heidi 4
Benefield was a two-time state champion, team members Rebecca Gonzalez, Arden 5
Jellen, Heysel Solis, and Leslie Marquez were one-time state champions, and 6
team members Shelsea Morales and Gracie Wood were state runners-up; and 7

WHEREAS, Lady Mounties team members Kyra Duncan, Analy Quintero, 9
Mckayla Carlisle, and Addison Garrett earned All-Conference honors; and 10

WHEREAS, Coach Willie Wright said, "We had a very successful season, 12
everything came together nicely through hard work and consistency. I 13
couldn't be more proud of our team.", 14

NOW THEREFORE, 16
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 17
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 18

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Rogers High School Lady 20
Mounties girls' wrestling team as the 2026 Class 6A state champions. 21

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 23
presented to Coach Willie Wright by the Chief Clerk of the House of 24
Representatives. 25
