Hot Springs, Arkansas, on March 14, 2026, with a final score of sixty-three 23
to fifty-seven (63-57); and 24

WHEREAS, the Patriots made a remarkable turnaround this season, surging 26
from a team with four (4) wins and twenty-five (25) losses in the 2024-2025 27
season to a team with an impressive twenty-eight (28) wins and five (5) 28
losses and an overall conference record of fifteen (15) wins and one (1) loss 29
during the 2025-2026 season; and 30

WHEREAS, the Patriots were led to victory by Head Coach Jason Harrison, 32

WHEREAS, Patriots team members include Kolby Bell, Jermaine Conway, 9
Chris Edwards, Jonathan Geter, Keithan Green, Ayden Hansberry, Kedric 10
Humphrey, Jr., Jacob Lanier, Callen McCray, Tyrian Thompson, Christian 11
Washington, Bruce Williams, Jr., Bryan Williams, and Joshua Wills; and 12

WHEREAS, outstanding duo Jacob Lanier and Ayden Hansberry pushed the 14
team into victory during overtime, scoring all fourteen (14) of the points 15
for the Patriots during overtime; and 16

WHEREAS, senior Jacob Lanier, a four-star shooting guard who recently 18
committed to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball team, 19
finished his season scoring over nine hundred (900) points, earning the title 20
of the Class 5A State Championship Most Valuable Player, and being named to 21
the All-State, All-Conference, and All-Tournament teams; and 22

WHEREAS, late Patriots coach Al Flanigan, who passed away in December 24
2025, told the team right before his death that they would "win state title," 25
to which Head Coach Jason Harrison, after winning the state championship, 26
responded, "If he were here, I'd be looking him dead in his eyes and say, 27
‘Man, you were right.'"; and 28

WHEREAS, Head Coach Jason Harrison commented on the Patriots' victory, 30
stating "[t]hese kids worked. There's been a lot of peaks and valleys, ups 31
and downs, but through it all, we stayed the course. We lost some games, and 32

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 8
presented to Head Coach Jason Harrison by the Chief Clerk of the House of 9
