WHEREAS, the North Little Rock High School Lady Charging Wildcats 20
girls' basketball team won the Class 6A state championship held at Bank OZK 21
Arena in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on March 14, 2026; and 22
23
WHEREAS, the Lady Charging Wildcats defeated the Har-Ber High School 24
Wildcats by a score of forty-six (46) to forty (40); and 25
26
WHEREAS, this was the sixth state title for the Lady Charging Wildcats, 27
and their first state title since 2022; and 28
29
WHEREAS, the Lady Charging Wildcats finished their season with a record 30
of thirty wins and three losses (30-3); and 31

WHEREAS, the Lady Charging Wildcat team members are Ja'liyah White, 33
Elicia Shepherd, Jade Harrison, Katie Fimple, Krislynn Bryant, Layla 34
Jouvenaux, Layla Smith, Lauren Brewster, Erika Shepherd, D'Shya Bunch, Mia 35
Hopkins, Bailey Eason, Marley Adebayo, Nia Edwards, Da'liah Batemon, and Zoey 36

WHEREAS, Lady Charging Wildcat team member Elicia Shepherd was named 3
the Most Valuable Player of the Class 6A state tournament, the Most Valuable 4
Player of the Mansfield Spring Creek Barbeque Invitational Tournament, and to 5
the Arkansas Activities Association All-Star Game, and earned All-State 6
honors and All-Conference honors; and 7

WHEREAS, Lady Charging Wildcat team member Katie Fimple was named to 9
the Arkansas Activities Association All-Star Game and the All-Tournament Team 10
and earned All-State honors and All-Conference honors; and 11

WHEREAS, Lady Charging Wildcat team member Lauren Brewster earned All-13
State honors and All-Conference honors; and 14

WHEREAS, Lady Charging Wildcat team member Mia Hopkins was named to the 16
All-Tournament Team, earned All-Conference honors, and was named the Class 6A 17
Central Conference Defensive Player of the Year; and 18

WHEREAS, Lady Charging Wildcat team members Nia Edwards and Ja'liyah 20
White earned All-Conference honors; and 21

WHEREAS, Lady Charging Wildcat team members Zoey McCall and Marley 23
Adebayo earned All-Conference honorable mentions; and 24

WHEREAS, the Lady Charging Wildcats were led by Head Coach Daryl 26
Fimple, Associate Head coach Russell Stumpenhaus, and Assistant Coaches 27
Rebekah McCoy, Kyra Collier, Herb McCall, and Malica Monk; and 28

WHEREAS, Head Coach Daryl Fimple said of the season and the victory, 30
"[Our] big motto all year long was to try to be legendary at the end. 31
Everybody kept asking me, how good of a team is this? ... Well, you can't 32
tell until the end, and I think it's a pretty good team.", 33

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 36

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the North Little Rock Lady 3
Charging Wildcats girls' basketball team as the Class 6A state champions. 4

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 6
provided to the coaching staff of the North Little Rock High School Lady 7
Charging Wildcats girls' basketball team by the Chief Clerk of the House of 8
Representatives. 9
