CLASS 6A STATE CHAMPIONS. 16

WHEREAS, the Mount Saint Mary Academy Belles golf team won the Class 6A 18
state championship held at the Lost Springs Golf and Athletic Club in Rogers, 19
Arkansas, on September 30 and October 1, 2025; and 20
21
WHEREAS, the Belles won the tournament with a final score of four 22
hundred forty-seven (447) strokes, beating the next ranking team by seven (7) 23
strokes; and 24
25
WHEREAS, with their win, the Belles have clinched their third state 26
title in a row and their third state title victory in program history; and 27
28
WHEREAS, the Belles team members are seniors Chloe Freville, Ana Bella 29
Gutierrez, and Maria Ezzi, juniors Lillie York and Maddie Hernandez, and 30
sophomores Liv Erck and Amelia Green; and 31

WHEREAS, the Belles team members who participated in the state 33
championship were Chloe Freville, Ana Bella Gutierrez, Maria Ezzi, Lillie 34
York, and Liv Erck; and 35

WHEREAS, Belles team member Lillie York placed second in the individual 1
results of the state championship, placed second in the Class 6A Individual 2
Overall Title Tournament held at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little 3
Rock, Arkansas, on October 16, 2025, and earned All-State honors, All-4
Conference honors, and All-Arkansas-Prep honors in girls' high school golf; 5
and 6

WHEREAS, Anna Bella Gutierrez placed third in the individual results of 8
the state championship, winning a three-way play-off round by making a birdie 9
putt, and earned All-State honors, All-Conference honors, and All-Arkansas-10
Prep honors in girls' high school golf; and 11

WHEREAS, all three (3) senior Belles team members will play golf in 13
college, with team members attending Arkansas Tech University in 14
Russellville, Arkansas, Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, 15
and the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska; and 16

WHEREAS, the Belles were supported by Athletic Director Lane West and 18
Head of School Sara Jones; and 19

WHEREAS, the Belles were led by Head Coach Laura Freville; and 21

WHEREAS, Head Coach Laura Freville said of the team and of the victory, 23
"What an awesome feeling. It's been one heck of an exciting day. I am so 24
proud of these girls, and I've been so blessed to be a part of this group. 25
They fought, and we had some ups and some downs. But they fought hard and 26
kept the group score where they needed to be.", 27

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 30
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 31

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Mount Saint Mary 33
Academy Belles golf team as the 2025 Class 6A state champions. 34

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, an appropriate copy of this 36

resolution be presented to Head Coach Laura Freville by the Chief Clerk of 1
the House of Representatives. 2
