WHEREAS, on Friday, June 13, 2025, Amelia Lisowe, of Benton, Arkansas, 16
representing Miss Greater Little Rock's Teen, was crowned Miss Arkansas' Teen 17
2025 at the Robinson Center in Little Rock, Arkansas; and 18
19
WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe is the fourteen-year-old daughter of Lauren 20
Lisowe, and is a freshman at Bryant Junior High School; and 21
22
WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe is the founder of Lisowe’s Lights, a nonprofit 23
organization dedicated to providing night lights to children in foster care, 24
offering comfort and a sense of security during uncertain times; and 25
26
WHEREAS, since its creation, Lisowe’s Lights has distributed more than 27
thirty-seven thousand (37,000) night lights across all fifty (50) states and 28
ten (10) countries, impacting countless young lives; and 29

WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe’s service and leadership have earned national 31
recognition, including appearances on The Jennifer Hudson Show, NBC Nightly 32
News Kids with Lester Holt: Kids Edition, and Good Morning America; and 33
34
WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe is a six-time Gold Presidential Volunteer 35
Service awardee with more than nine hundred (900) volunteer hours since 2019; 36

WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe's other achievements include appearing on Elmo's 3
Road Trip for the fiftieth anniversary season of Sesame Street, traveling to 4
twenty (20) states and six (6) countries, and being a paid choreographer at 5
the age of eleven (11); and 6

WHEREAS, on the Miss Arkansas’ Teen stage, Amelia Lisowe showcased her 8
artistic talents with a moving lyrical dance to Whitney Houston’s “I Have 9
Nothing”; and 10

WHEREAS, while on the Miss Arkansas' Teen stage, Amelia Lisowe answered 12
questions about how she could help foster kids, how she could address 13
stereotypes surrounding Miss Arkansas, and what she wished to accomplish 14
during her reign if crowned Miss Arkansas' Teen 2025; and 15

WHEREAS, for her community service and her performance on the Miss 17
Arkansas' Teen stage, Amelia Lisowe earned more than sixteen thousand dollars 18
($16,000) in scholarships; and 19

WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe has earned full-ride scholarships to the 21
University of Alabama, Arkansas State University, and Mississippi State 22
University; and 23

WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe is the youngest person to ever receive a 25
scholarship offer from Mississippi State University; and 26

WHEREAS, in her role as Miss Arkansas' Teen 2025, Amelia Lisowe serves 28
as a role model and ambassador for the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Organization 29
and promotes community service, leadership, and educational excellence; and 30

WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe represented the State of Arkansas at the Miss 32
America’s Teen competition in September 2025; and 33
34
WHEREAS, Amelia Lisowe continues to serve as a role model to Arkansans 35
and is continuing her mission to bring light and hope to foster children, 36

NOW THEREFORE, 2
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 3
STATE OF ARKANSAS: 4

THAT the Senate honor Miss Arkansas' Teen 2025 Amelia Lisowe for her 6
remarkable achievements, her service to others, and her outstanding 7
representation of the State of Arkansas. 8

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of the resolution be 10
presented to Amelia Lisowe by the Secretary of the Senate. 11
