WHEREAS, Kennedy Holland of Greenwood, Arkansas, was crowned Miss 16
Arkansas 2025 on Saturday, June 14, 2025, during the eight-eighth Miss 17
Arkansas Scholarship Pageant held at the Robinson Center Performance Hall in 18
Little Rock, Arkansas; and 19

WHEREAS, Kennedy Holland won the title of Miss Arkansas while competing 21
as Miss Metro 2025, and was Miss University of Central Arkansas in 2024; and 22
23
WHEREAS, Kennedy Holland was awarded more than thirty-six thousand 24
dollars ($36,000) in scholarships at the event, including a scholarship for 25
thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) from the Ted and Shannon Skokos Foundation, 26
and has won more than eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) over her years of 27
competition in pageants; and 28

WHEREAS, in addition to her title, Kennedy Holland received numerous 30
other honors, including the Overall Service Above Self Award, the Journalism 31
& Mass Communication Profession Scholarship sponsored by KARK Channel 4, and 32
many other preliminary awards celebrating her excellence throughout the 33
competition; and 34

WHEREAS, on the Miss Arkansas 2025 stage, Kennedy Holland showcased her 36

vocal talents with a performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" that 1
inspired loud applause from the audience; and 2

WHEREAS, Kennedy Holland is the founder of the community service 4
imitative Compassion Legacy, which focuses on advocating for and funding 5
adaptive recreational spaces and through which inclusive environments are 6
created that allow individuals of all abilities to enjoy safe, accessible, 7
and enriching recreational opportunities; and 8

WHEREAS, since her win, Kennedy Holland has worked throughout Arkansas, 10
where she has advocated for causes such as the American Heart Association, 11
Compassion Legacy, and others; and 12

WHEREAS, Kennedy Holland represented Arkansas at the Miss America 2026 14
pageant held at the Walt Disney Theater located at the Dr. Phillips Center 15
for the Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida, on September 6, 2025, where she 16
was a Preliminary Talent Winner and was one of eleven (11) finalists; and 17

WHEREAS, Kennedy Holland is the twenty-one-year-old daughter of Katie 19
and Sean Holland of Greenwood, Arkansas, and attends college at the 20
University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas, where she is a senior 21
communication major with plans to pursue a master's degree in nonprofit 22
management, 23

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 26
STATE OF ARKANSAS: 27

THAT the Senate honor Miss Arkansas 2025 Kennedy Holland for her 29
remarkable achievements, her service to others, and her outstanding 30
representation of the State of Arkansas. 31

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 33
presented to Kennedy Holland by the Secretary of the Senate. 34
