Budget Act of 2024.
The Budget Act of 2024 made appropriations for the support of state government for the 2024–25 fiscal year.
This bill would amend the Budget Act of 2024 to exempt wildfire prevention projects from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act.
The California Constitution requires the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain costs mandated
by the state. Statutory provisions establish procedures for making that reimbursement.
This bill would provide that no reimbursement is required by this act for a specified reason.
This bill would declare that it is to take effect immediately as a Budget Bill.
