AN ACT REQUIRING THE REMOVAL OF THE PUBLIC BENEFITS
CHARGE FROM CONSUMER ELECTRIC BILLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to (1) remove the charges 1
collectively called the " combined public benefits charge" from electric 2
bills for end use customers of each electric distribution company, and 3
(2) require that the cost of such charges be paid from the General Fund. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To remove the combined public benefits charge from electric customer
bills and pay the costs of such charge from the General Fund.
