AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE USS GROTON SAIL MONUMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3 -20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
three hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by 4
the Department of Economic and Community Development for the 5
purpose of providing a grant -in-aid to the USS Groton Sail Foundation 6
for the construction of the USS Groton Sail Monument. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for the construction of the USS Groton Sail
Monument.
