AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT FOR SAFETY
ESCORTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That section 17b -242 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
Medicaid reimbursement, to the extent permissible under federal law, 2
for safety escorts for nurses who provide community -based behavioral 3
health care. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the safety of behavioral health nurses who provide
community-based care to Medicaid beneficiaries.
