AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
CONNECTICUT BRIDGE AUTHORITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Economic and 1
Community Development may study and make recommendations 2
regarding the feasibility of establishing a Connecticut Bridge Authority 3
for the purpose of overseeing the funding and construction of a bridge 4
connecting Connecticut to Long Island . If the commissioner conducts 5
such study, n ot later than January 1, 202 7, the commissioner shall 6
submit a report on the re sults of such study to the joint standing 7
committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 8
relating to commerce, planning and development and transportation, in 9
accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. 10
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
