Amending Land Conveyance to Chesprocott Health District

  • Requires the Commissioner of Administrative Services, on behalf of the Department of Correction, to transfer the land to the Chesprocott Health District for administrative costs only.
  • Allows the health district to build facilities for emergency management, public health, and medical services on the site.
  • Permits the health district to let nonprofit organizations use part of the land or buy it specifically for temporary housing if local zoning rules are met.
  • States that the land returns to state ownership if the health district stops using it for allowed purposes or leases it out in ways not covered by this law.
