AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE SHORE LINE EAST RAIL
LINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That sufficient funds be appropriated to the Department of 1
Transportation, from the Special Transportation Fund, for the fiscal year 2
ending June 30, 2026, to increase rail service on the Shore Line East rail 3
line between the city of New Haven and the town of Mystic on each 4
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and legal holiday between the last Monday in 5
May and the first Monday in September. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to increase the Shore Line East rail service between
the city of New Haven and the town of Mystic in order to ease traffic
congestion on Interstate Route 95 and promote tourism along the
Connecticut shoreline during the summer.
