AN ACT REQUIRING FUNDING FOR REGIONAL FIRE TRAINING
SCHOOLS THROUGH APPROPRIATIONS IN THE STATE BUDGET.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require that sufficient funds 1
be appropriated to the Department of Emergency Services and Public 2
Protection, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 3
2027, to fund the nine regional fire training schools, as opposed to 4
providing such funds through any specific taxes or increased 5
surcharges, including, but not limited to, fees on insurance premiums. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To fund the nine regional fire training schools through appropriations
in the state budget and not from any specific taxes or increased
surcharges, including any fees on insurance premiums.
