AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRIVATIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles develop a plan to privatize 1
the functions and operations of the Department of Motor Vehicles and 2
submit such plan to the joint standing committee of the General 3
Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation on or 4
before October 1, 2026. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To save the state money and improve efficiencies by privatizing the
Department of Motor Vehicles.
