Amendment Removing Payment Rules for Physician Associates

This amendment deletes a rule in House Bill No. 325 that required insurance companies to pay the same amount for services provided by physician associates as they would for physicians.

What This Bill Does

  • Deletes the rule stating that payment amounts should depend on the service provided rather than who delivered the care.
  • Removes the word 'existing' from references to state laws or regulations used for billing standards.

Who It Names or Affects

  • Physician associates providing medical services
  • Insurance companies that pay for health care services
