This Act expands the use of green lights to include vehicles and equipment used for road construction and maintenance activities. Other states have already expanded their laws to allow green lights on these types of vehicles and equipment in addition to snow plows. This Act removes potential confusion over whether those lights may be operated in Delaware.

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO USE OF REVOLVING OR FLASHING GREEN LIGHT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend § 4356A, Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 4356A. Use of revolving or flashing green light.

(a) A motor

vehicle
