HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 115

RECOGNIZING THE SECOND ANNUAL DELAWARE TOGETHER DAY AND REAFFIRMING THIS STATEWIDE OBSERVANCE THAT PROMOTES UNITY, INCLUSION, AND COMMUNITY COLLABORATION.

WHEREAS, the Delaware General Assembly adopted House Concurrent Resolution 38 (HCR 38) in 2025 recognizing “Celebrate Delaware Together Day” as a statewide observance; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of Celebrate Delaware Together Day is to foster unity, inclusion, and mutual respect across Delaware’s diverse communities by creating spaces for connection, celebration, and collaboration; and

WHEREAS, Delaware is strengthened when residents from all backgrounds engage one another with dignity, learn across difference, and work together to improve community well-being; and

WHEREAS, the anniversary of HCR 38 provides an opportunity to reaffirm Delaware’s commitment to belonging, shared civic pride, and cross-sector partnerships that uplift every community; and

WHEREAS, Celebrate Delaware Together Day Weekend is planned for April 17–19, 2026, and includes community-centered programming such as an Inclusive Cultural Leadership Summit, Unity Gala, Unity Parade, Unity Fair, EmpowerHER: Voices Across Cultures, and community service/engagement activities; and

WHEREAS, statewide participation is encouraged from residents, schools, faith communities, nonprofits, businesses, civic organizations, and public leaders to strengthen Delaware’s culture of unity and belonging.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 153

General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the Senate concurring therein, that the General Assembly hereby recognizes April 17, 2026, as the second annual “Celebrate Delaware Together Day” as a statewide observance promoting unity, inclusion, and community collaboration across Delaware.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the General Assembly encourages Delawareans to participate in Celebrate Delaware Together Day Weekend activities on April 17–19, 2026, and to support efforts that strengthen belonging, civic connection, and shared community impact.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to Eunity Delaware, Inc., and to appropriate state and community stakeholders supporting the observance.
