HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 22

AMENDING THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 153RD GENERAL ASSEMBLY RELATING TO REPORTS, STUDIES, OR SIMILAR ITEMS REQUESTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OR THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 153

rd

General Assembly of the State of Delaware that Rule 19 of the Rules of the House of Representatives be amended by making additions as shown by underline as follows:

(d) When a measure has been enacted by the General Assembly or the House of Representatives and the measure requests a report, study, or similar item be submitted to the General Assembly or to the House of Representatives, upon receipt of the report, study, or item, the Speaker of the House shall assign the report, study, or item to the appropriate subject matter committee. The committee that is assigned the report, study, or item shall post it in its entirety on an online database approved by the Speaker and accessible to the public, review and hold a public hearing relating to the report, study, or item and its findings. The public hearing held by the committee shall not be held until the item has been posted online for at least 48 hours.
