SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 129

EXTENDING THE DELAWARE NUCLEAR ENERGY FEASIBILITY TASK FORCE.

WHEREAS, the Delaware Nuclear Energy Feasibility Task Force (Task Force) was established on July 1, 2025, under Senate Concurrent Resolution 18 of the 153rd General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force was directed to compile a final report containing a summary of the Task Force’s work regarding the issues assigned to it under SCR 18, including any findings and recommendations, and submit the report to the General Assembly, the Governor, and the Director and Librarian of Legislative Services no later than December 31, 2025; and

WHEREAS, SCR 18 directed the Task Force to study and report its findings and recommendations on 5 specified, complex issue areas; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force has determined that additional time is necessary to fulfill the directive under SCR 18 after conducting a thorough, comprehensive investigation into the 5 issue areas.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 153rd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that the existence of the Delaware Nuclear Energy Feasibility Task Force (Task Force), created under Senate Concurrent Resolution 18 of the 153rd General Assembly, is extended through the submission of the final report.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the co-chairs of the Task Force must submit the final report assigned under SCR 18 no later than July 31, 2026.
