BEITENACTEDBY THECOUNCILOFTHEDISTRICTOFCOLUMBIA,Thatthisactmaybecitedasthe“EarlyChildhoodEducatorPayScalesCongressionalReviewEmergencyAmendment Act of 2025”.
Sec.2.TheDayCarePolicyActof1979,effectiveSeptember19,1979(D.C.Law3-16:D.C.OfficialCode§4-401efseq.),isamendedasfollows:(a)Section2(D.C.OfficialCode§4-401)isamendedasfollows:(1)Paragraph(1)(B)isamendedbystrikingthephrase“anexpandedchilddevelopmenthome”andinsertingthephrase“achilddevelopmenthomeoranexpandedchilddevelopmenthome”initsplace.(2)Paragraph(1D)isamendedtoreadasfollows:“(1D) The term “CDA” means a childdevelopment associatecredential
recognizedbytheCouncilforProfessionalRecognitionandacceptedbytheDepartmenttodemonstratecompetencyasacaregiverforyoungchildrenorastate-awardedcertificatethatmeetsorexceedstherequirementsforachilddevelopmentassociatecredential,asdefinedbytheDepartment.”.
