Toamend,onanemergencybasis,duetocongressionalreview,theSecureDCOmnibus‘AmendmentActof2024toamendthesunsetdateofcertainpretrialdetentionprovisions;and toamend the CriminalJusticeCoordinatingCouncil forthe Districtof Columbia
EstablishmentActof2001toclarifycertainreportingrequirements.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
actmaybecitedasthe“SecureDCPretrialDetentionExtensionandReportingCongressionalReviewEmergencyAmendmentActof2025”.
Sec.2.TheSecureDCOmnibusAmendmentActof2024,effectiveJune8,2024(D.C.Law25-175;71DCR2732),isamendedasfollows:(a)Section18(¢)(2)isamendedbystrikingthephrase“225daysaftertheeffectivedateof theSecure DC Omnibus Amendment Act of 2024, passed on 2nd readingon March 5,2024

90days,asprovidedforemergencyactsoftheCounciloftheDistrictofColumbiainsection412(a)oftheDistrictofColumbiaHomeRuleAct,approvedDecember24,1973(87Stat.788;D.C.OfficialCode§1-204.12(a)).
