Sec.2,Section215oftheUniformCollegeAthleteName,Image,orLikenessActof2022,effectiveFebruary23,2023(D.C.Law24-245;D.C.OfficialCode§38-1631.05),isamendedasfollows:(@)Subsection(a)isamendedasfollows:(1)Paragraph(2)isamendedbystrikingthephrase“;and”andinsertingasemicoloninitsplace.(2)Paragraph(3)isamendedbystrikingthephrase“;and”andinsertingasemicoloninitsplace.(3)Newparagraphs(4)and(5)areaddedtoreadasfollows:“@)Withselecting,arrangingfor,orprovidingpaymenttoaname,image,orlikenessagent;and“(S)Withselecting,arrangingfor,orcollectingpaymentfromathirdpartyengagedinspecificname,image,orlikenessagreementswithacollegeathleteorathletes.”(b)Subsection(¢)isrepealed.

Sec.5.Effectivedate.ThisactshalltakeeffectfollowingapprovalbytheMayor(orintheeventofvetobytheMayor,actionbytheCounciltooverridetheveto),andshallremainineffectfornolongerthan90days,asprovidedforemergencyactsoftheCounciloftheDistrictofColumbiainsection412(a)oftheDistrictofColumbiaHomeRuleAct,approvedDecember24,1973(87Stat.788;
D.C.OfficialCode§ 1-204.12(a)).
