BEITENACTEDBYTHECOUNCILOFTHEDISTRICTOFCOLUMBIA,Thatthisactmaybecitedasthe“Elmore-FriendshipCourtDesignationEmergencyActof2025”.
Sec.2.Pursuanttosections401,403,and421oftheStreetandAlleyClosingandAcquisitionProceduresActof1982,effectiveMarch10,1983(D.C.Law4-201;D.C.Official
Code§§9-204.01,9-204.03,and9-204.21),theCouncilofficiallydesignatesthepublicalleysystemwithinSquare1084,asdepictedbytheplatinthecommitteereport,as“Elmore-
FriendshipCourt”.
Sec.3.Fiscalimpactstatement.‘TheCounciladoptsthefiscalimpactstatementoftheBudgetDirectorasthefiscalimpactstatementrequiredbysection4aoftheGeneralLegislativeProceduresActof1975,approvedOctober16,2006(120Stat.2038;D.C.OfficialCode§1-301.47a).
Sec.4.Effectivedate.‘ThisactshalltakeeffectfollowingapprovalbytheMayor(orintheeventofvetobytheMayer,actionbytheCounciltooverridetheveto),andshallremainineffectfornolongerthan90days,asprovidedforemergencyactsoftheCounciloftheDistrictofColumbiainsection
