Toamend,onanemergencybasis,theDepartmentofTransportationEstablishmentActof2022
toauthorizetheDirectortoissueagranttoFriendsofWangariGardensfortheassessment,design,andinstallationofawatermeterandpotablewatersourcedirectlyontheWangariGardenspropertywithaspigotforgardeners’freeuse.
BEITENACTEDBYTHECOUNCILOFTHEDISTRICTOFCOLUMBIA,Thatthisactmaybecitedasthe“FriendsofWangariGardensGrantEmergencyAmendmentActof2026”.
Sec.2.Section3(c)oftheDepartmentofTransportationEstablishmentActof2022,effectiveMay21,2002(D.C.Law14-137;D.C.OfficialCode§50-921.02(c)),isamendedbyaddinganewparagraph(5)toreadasfollows:
(5)Notwithstandingparagraph(1)ofthissubsection,theDirectormayissueagranttotheFriendsofWangatiGardensforthepurposeofassessing,designing,andinstallingawatermeterandpotablewatersourcedirectlyontheWangariGardenspropertywithaspigotforgardeners’freeuse.”.

TheCounciladoptsthefiscalimpactstatementoftheBudgetDirectorasthefiscalimpactstatementrequiredbysectiondaoftheGeneralLegislativeProceduresActof1975,approved
