Dear Chairman Mendelson:
Pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 1- 204.51(b)(2)(A), enclosed for consideration and approval by
the Council of the District of Columbia is proposed Modification No. M0001 to C ontract No.
DCCB-2020-F-0029 with Hausfeld, LLP. This modification is to exercise option period one in the
not-to-exceed amount of 55,000,000. The option period one period of performance is from
September 17, 2025 through September 16, 2027.
Under the proposed modification to exercise option period one, Hausfeld, LLP shall continue to
provide legal services to assist the Office of the Attorney General with its investigation and potential
litigation against Amazon.com, Inc. (Amazon or Target) for violations in restraint of trade and the
D.C. Consumer Protection Procedures Act (the Matter).

District; or (2) a certification that the contractor will be current with its District taxes after
the District recovers any outstanding debt as provided under D.C. Official Code § 2-
353.01(b):
The Citywide Clean Hands database certified Hausfeld, LLP as being in compliance with the Office
of Tax and Revenue and the Department of Employment Services taxes on June 17, 2025.
