Pursuant to section 451 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (D.C. Official Code § 1 -
204.51) and section 202 of the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010 (D.C. Official Code §
2-352.02), enclosed for consideration and approval by the Council of the District of Columbia is
proposed Modification No. M002 to Contract No. DCKA -2024-C-0038 with Excel Tree Expert
CO Inc. (Excel Tree), to exercise option year two in the not-to-exceed amount of $3,129,406. The
period of performance is from January 29, 2026, through January 28, 2027.

Under the proposed modification, Excel Tree will continue to provide tree removal services in the
District of Columbia.

In accordance with Contract No. DCKA-2024-C-0038 § F.2 – Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, the District
hereby exercises Option Year 2 as follows:

1. The period of performance of the contract is extended from January 29, 2026, through January 28, 2027.

2. The Option Year 2 Not-to-Exceed ceiling remains $3,129,406.00 as specified in Section B.3.3 of the
Contract. The District will order a minimum amount of $95,661.00 in Option Year 2.

3. Attachment J.2 is hereby updated as follows:
