A CEREMONIAL RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

January 6, 2026

To recognize and honor Linda Greenan for her over 30 years of dedicated service to the District
of Columbia.

WHEREAS, Ms. Greenan has devoted more than 3 decades of her professional life to
service in the District of Columbia, demonstrating an enduring commitment to strengthening the
city’s civic institutions, communities, and public-private partnerships;

WHEREAS, Linda Greenan served the District government with distinction, including as
Chief of Staff to Councilmember Jack Evans for 4 years, where she played a critical role in
legislative operations and constituent services;

WHEREAS, Linda Greenan served for nearly 2 decades as the Associate Vice President
for External Relations at Georgetown University, where she acted as a principal liaison between
the University, the District government, community organizations, and neighborhood
stakeholders, and was widely respected for her deep knowledge of District policy, governance,
and community concerns;

WHEREAS, beginning in August 2016, Linda Greenan served the District for 9 years at
PEPCO, where she continued her commitment to service by strengthening relationships between
the utility, District government, and the local community;

WHEREAS, Linda Greenan has earned the respect of District leaders, civic
organizations, and community members for her professionalism, steady judgment, and consistent
focus on solutions that advance the public interest; and

WHEREAS, throughout her career, Linda Greenan has served on numerous boards and
commissions, including the D.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Humanities Council, the
Georgetown Business Association, the D.C. Sports and Entertainment Commission, and the
Washington Convention and Sports Authority, and has been repeatedly recognized for her
leadership, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of the District of Columbia.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Linda Greenan Service Recognition Resolution of 2026".

Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes and celebrates Linda Greenan
for her outstanding service to the District of Columbia and commends Ms. Greenan for her
decades of exemplary public service, civic leadership, and lasting contributions to the District’s
government, institutions, and communities.

Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
