RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this 19
resolution may be cited as the “Commission on Health Equity Dr. Simone C. Ellis Appointment 20
Resolution of 2025”. 21

Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia appoints: 23

as a nonvoting Ward 8 community advisory member of the Commission on Health Equity, 29
established by section 5043(c)(1)(B) of the Commission on Health Equity Amendment Act of 30
2016, effective October 8, 2016 (D.C. Law 21-160; D.C. Official Code § 7-756.01(c)(1)(B)), 31
replacing Maranda Ward, to serve at the pleasure of the Council. 32
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, 33
upon its adoption, to the appointee, the chairperson of the Commission, and to the Office of the 34
Mayor. 35
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. 36
