In accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-
142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523 .01), and pursuant to section 5 of the Office and Commission on
Nightlife and Culture establishment Act of 2018, effective December 13, 2018 (D.C. Law 22-191; D.C.
Official Code § 3-664), I am pleased to nominate the following individual:

17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA , that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Nightlife and Culture Bernard White II
19 Confirmation Resolution of 2025".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the D istrict of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Bernard White II

Mr. Bernard White II , has served in several event -based positions at
Howard University. He currently serves as the Senior Event Planner in
the Department of Events and Protocol at Howard University.
In his current role, he is responsible executing Howard’s most visible
annual events to include commencement, homecoming, and college
anniversaries. These events provide the backdrop for Howard
University’s fundraising initiatives.
Beyond his role at Howard University, Mr. White leads a student
internship program that provides Howard students the opportunity to
volunteer at major events and garner real world experience. Mr. White
has also created local partnerships with businesses and non- profit organizations in the DC
community.
A Ward 1 resident, Mr. White earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Management and Business
Management from Howard University.
