In accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-
142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 5 of the Office and Commission on
African Affairs Act of 2006, effective June 8, 2006 (D.C. Law 16-111, D.C. Official Code§ 2-1394),

17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Commission on African Affairs Sannido De Poulm Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2025".

Sannido De Poukn
Mr. Sannido De Poukn is an accomplished professional in the field of
computer science and engineering. He currently holds the position of
Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of the District of Columbia,
where he combines teaching with his extensive background in IT
management and support, totaling over 13 years of experience in the
industry.
In addition to his academic role, Mr. De Poukn is a Cisco Certified
Instructor, highlighting his expertise in network engineering and
cybersecurity. His dedication to advancing his knowledge is evident as he
is also a PhD student in computer science and engineering, further
enhancing his academic credentials and research capabilities.
Aside from his academic and professional pursuits, he actively participates in community and
cultural events. Notably, Mr. De Poukn has been involved in celebrating Black History Month and
promoting Ivorian culture, which reflects his commitment to cultural representation and
awareness. He is also fluent in English, French, and Ewe.
A Ward 5 resident, Mr. De Poukn earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information
Sciences, Master of Science in Computer Science, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Computer
