142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01 ), and pursuant to section 5 of the Office and Commission on
African Affairs Act of 2006, effective June 8, 2006 (D.C. Law 16-111, D.C. Official Code§ 2-1394),

17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Commission on African Affairs Tiffany Lancaster Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2025".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

the nation’s Capital of Washington, DC. She has keynoted twice at the
Washington, DC Ethiopian Embassy for International Dignitaries, and for
the Ethiopian Royal family of Emperor & King Haile Selassie. She is a
Mayoral appointed commissioner for the DC Mayor’s Office of African
Affairs and Chairwoman of the African Affairs Committee on Economic
Development. Ms. Lancaster is an Expert Advisory Board Member for
the “US Institute of Diplomacy & Human Rights” - USIDHR. She is a
Politician, Humanitarian, Advocate, Speaker, Emcee, Published Author & Poet, Licensed ASCAP
Singer-Songwriter, Spiritual Advisor, Resiliency Counselor, Lay Counselor, PR Specialist, and
former Blog talk Radio Show Host. She is also the CEO & Founder of (The Purify Love
Movement) currently with 45,000 plus followers
Ms. Lancaster has also embraced the political world, transferring her activism & advocacy over to
becoming a former ANC Commissioner under Mayor Muriel Bowser & the DC City Council in
2017. She was also the 1st youngest Vice President of the “Federation of Democratic Women.”

Ms. Lancaster was also an Honorary member, Poet -In-Residence & Speaker for Sisters4Sisters
Inc, and was the 2019 Sisters4Sisters Trailblazer "Circle of Grace" Award Recipient. She also
received the 2019 DDEA West African Humanitarian Award, 2019 Leadership Volunteer
Appreciation Award by DC Ward 8 Councilmember Trayon White, the 2019 UPO "Petey Green"
Spirit of Service Award, the 2018 G-Listed Award for Positive Cultural Impact and Influence upon
the LBGTQ Community, the 2017 Commissioner Certificate of Appreciation Award, the 2016
Certificate of Appreciation for Speaking at the Charles Carroll Middle School Career and
Technical Fair, and the 2015 National Poetry Award. Her story was also featured on DCTV (DC
Television/OCTFME), PG-TV (Prince George’s County Television), and over 20 radio stations
across the United States.
A Ward 7 resident, Ms. Lancaster earned her Massage Therapy Certificate from Tesst School of
Technology at Baltimore.
