Dr. Padmaja Pavuluri
Dr. Padmaja Pavuluri, DO MPH , is a current member of the District of
Columbia Board of Medicine.
Dr. Pavuluri is a pediatric hospitalist and Associate Chief of Operations
for the Hospital Medicine Division at Children’s National Hospital, an
Associate Professor at the George Washington University School of
Medicine, and a current member of the Board of Medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Pavuluri has held various institutional roles in
quality and safety, including Director for Medical Quality, a Medical Unit
Director, and Order Set Oversight Committee Chair. She has been
involved with numerous unit-based and house wide improvement processes, specifically focused
on discharge planning, reducing readmissions, and family centered rounds and care for patients
with limited English proficiency. At Children’s National, Dr. Pavuluri directs the Fellows’ College
Quality I mprovement Curriculum. Her research interests include readmissions and any
opportunity to improve workflow efficiency and enjoyment.
A Ward 3 resident, Dr. Padmaja Pavuluri earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke
University, her Master of Public Health from Rutgers University, and her Doctor of Osteopathic
Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
